homemade food for Lola

Recently, I start cooking homemade meal for Lola using chicken & brown rice mainly. I reduce the commercial dry dog food, and add in this fresh cook meal. She loves this so much. And the biggest advantage is I know this is a nutritious and chemical free meal which is good for her health.
Would like to share my recipe here:

Ingredient: chicken, salmon fish, pork, celery, carrot, cabbage/cauliflower, brown rice, white rice.

Method:
Firstly, boil the chicken, fish and pork in a large pot. Then use this chicken stock to cook rice (brown rice + white rice). Spare some stock for boiling all the vegetable. Debone the chicken and salmon fish.
Put everything aside to cool to room temperature.
Lastly, mix everything together and yummy homemade dog food is done!
Pack them separetely for every meal, and put in the freezer. Defrost them for every meal later.

Playing with ball

Has been a while since my last post. She is in the action catching the ball. I like to see her jump high and grab the ball in middle of the air, very proud of her. However, after she grab the ball, she will hardly return to me, but bring the ball with her, and challenge me to chase after her for it. Hehe... not so obedience huhh... playful.

My rottie is 19 months old already. She has reached her full grown size, and looks like a black bear, especially when you see her from behind. Although still playful, but she able to understand our instruction better now.

Lola pass her CSAT test

Lola finally get her CSAt test pass this January, 2010. She joined the obedient class since May, 2009, since then she skipped many classes because of her heat cycle, also her big sickness of parvo-virus, after she get healthy and fit, my husband was busy with business trip. Anyhow, finally we manage to finish the whole obedient lesson, after her many vomit car trip. Yeah yeah.. she is still car sick after so many experience with car travelling, husband & I find this quite annoying, because we always want to but hesitating to bring her out for some interesting outing, likes swimming in the sea, or running in big field. My trainer gives us the secret tips about ginger juice to void vomit, will see if it works for Lola.

Lola getting bully when I walk her outside

Recently, I feel very reluctant to walk Lola outside. She doesn't pay much attention to me after walking out from the gate of our house, but only sniffing, and use up her bully energy trying to pull me here and there. I guess she completely forget about the "heel" command. Besides, sometimes she acts like sleeping beauty, lying down gracefully when I command her to follow me while she reluctant to do so. What can I do? I can't lift her, she is over 40kg now... She is really become naughty recently. However, of course, when back inside the house, she is still my sweet baby, good obedient girl. I really need to put her back in "heel" training again, hopefully can make it.

Lola & Football

That day when we went shopping at Tesco, we came up with a idea playing football with Lola.
She is bored with her old toys, thus we think it's not a bad idea let her exercise with football.
Ideally, husband & I, and Lola passing ball around, however Lola use her mouth more often than her legs, she keep trying mouth the football to carry it around. It's really a challenge for her, because the football is really too big for her mouth. Lola, please kick the football, and don't eat it. okay?!

Lola's Friend ... continue

This is German Shepherd named Lucky, her another doggie friend. Lucky is a male dog, thus we always monitor them closely when they play with each other. We just can't afford if any "accident" happen, oh.. one big doggie family... no..no..no... we will end up finish all our savings to buy them food. haha...
